THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. The Meadow is thrilled to host Tatreez artist Lina Barkawi @linasthobe at our studio in Brooklyn the evening of Saturday, March 30th from 7 to 10PM. Tatreez is a traditional form of Palestinian embroidery that is easy to learn and enables you to create gorgeous patterns. Lina sees her stitching as a way of strengthening cultural resilience and resistance to oppression. You will leave our Tatreez workshop with a beautiful piece of hand-stitched embroidery, new connections, and a different perspective on Palestinian culture. This event will also serve as a fundraiser to support the needs of families in Gaza. Food will be catered by Al Badawi a local Palestinian restaurant and will be served after sundown in observance of Ramadan.
