Ancient Practices

For Modern Life

Working Well LLC introduces embodied mindfulness practices to individuals and organizations in a welcoming and accessible way. We believe mindfulness is for everyone and it is something you can practice every day. When practiced regularly, these techniques can greatly enhance the quality of your life.

Simply described, mindfulness can be defined as paying attention to the present moment with clear intention and without judgement. This sounds easy, but it isn't. The human mind becomes distracted every 47 seconds on average. With ever-ready access to technology, we are becoming increasingly distracted and disconnected. Add our natural negativity bias to the mix and the challenge of moment-to-moment awareness becomes even more difficult.

When we are distracted we lose the ability to attune and attend to what's really happening on the inside and what's really happening on the outside. In addition, the mind's keen ability to churn up judgement also hampers our ability to be present-minded. Mindfulness practices train us to return to the present-moment sensations and perceptions. The practices reconnect us to ourselves and help us become more engaged with others.  Our goal is to offer people an opportunity to develop tools that will enhance the way they work, feel, and relate. The trainings provide clear and concrete instruction on effective mindfulness practices that involve meditation, movement and dialogue. We offer the dedicated time and space necessary to learn how to work with the mind, body, and one another.

Every Working Well training is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the individual client or organization. We teach mindfulness practices that are secular and based on neuroscience.  In each session, we guide you through techniques that touch upon the four pillars of mindfulness: the breath, the body, thoughts and emotions, and deep mind. Each of these pillars becomes an anchor for our awareness and attention. The present-minded awareness cultivated through mindfulness training is one key to health and wellbeing.
